Duties and Responsibilities:

Obviously the duties include taking care of the finances of the township, but for more specifics, there is a book that covers these duties. It is quite extensive. If you have specific questions about what these duties are, please contact the treasurer directly.

2025 Tax Information


2025 Summer Tax Statements will be sent out the first week of July. Summer tax
payments are due on or before September 15, 2025. Beginning September 16th, 1%
interest will be added to the tax due and continues at an additional 1% each month until
the tax has been paid. The 2025 Winter Tax Statements will be sent out the first week of
December. Winter tax payments are due on or before February 16, 2026. On February
17th, a 3% penalty will be added to the tax due. Any payments not received by February
28, 2026 will be turned over to the Kalkaska County Treasurer as delinquent and must
be paid at their office.
The Treasurer will be available to take payments at the Township Office located on Pine
Street in South Boardman on September 15th from 9am until 5 pm. You may schedule
an appointment to pay your taxes at a day and time that is more convenient for you by
contacting the office.
